5 Local YYC Spots You May Have Missed

Have you ever wondered where those fun, Instagram-ready photos are being taken, or where all those people get that truffle gnocchi from? Here are 5 Local Calgary spots you may have missed:

  1. We Really Like “I Love You”!

And so does Mikey-G.. The barista.

Located just off 14th Ave SW, this trendy coffee shop is located underneath Happy Convenience. Go and enjoy fresh, locally brewed coffee, put on your favourite records, admire the art, and read a book.

Once you’re ready and caffeinated to get a move on the day (or the night) you’re only a few blocks from 17th Ave!

2. If you Enjoy Reading, Don’t Check Out “Betty Lou’s Library”

Although the vibe is enchanting you may find it hard to focus on those pages between your hands. With an amazing atmosphere, great drinks, and live performances, this is not the library you want to take your book to!

With an incredible ambiance, make sure to book your reservation now, or you might be standing in line all night.

3. The Rooftop: Did Someone Say Truffle Gnocchi?

Oh yeah, that was us.

The Rooftop YYC is a must this summer. The menu is great, and the drinks are refreshing. But you stay for the vibes.

Trees and leaves hang above you while you eat, the lighting is electrifying, and somehow this restaurant feels like a mini-market.

There is not enough time in one night - or one week for that matter - to explore everything you want about this new restaurant.

4. Cold Garden

Are you looking for good beer and a place for your dog to meet cool people (or other dogs)?.. This Must Be the Place.

Cold Garden has got it all figured out. You don’t even have to leave your floofy friends at home while you go to the bar. Your pets can come inside and enjoy the company, or roam around the place and play with the other pups. This place has comfy couches and big tables to suit your needs. This place is sure to have your favourite refreshments, and you can order delivery from other restaurants and eat it there!

5. Don’t Yell At Me

Please! But also check out this bubble tea spot!

Of course, we couldn’t leave bubble tea off this list. If you find yourself downtown looking for something to quench your thirst DYAM is located in the heart of 17th Ave. And don’t worry, if you don’t like bubble tea they have some really fun and creative coffee and tea blends that everyone should try!
