Located in Kananaskis this beautiful view starts off your 7.7Km hike. This popular trail will take you just over 2 hours to complete. It is a great trail for beginners and experts who are interested in amazing views and scenery. Barrier Lake is located about an hour's drive outside of Calgary, making it easily accessible to all of our YYC hikers!

2. Heart Creek Trail

Also located in Kananaskis, Heart Creek Trail is only a few minutes further into the mountains than Barrier Lake.
