This is a very light‑walking experience, with only about 5–10 minutes of walking total between stops. We meet right in front of Higher Ground Café before visiting four hand‑picked spots: Higher Ground, Oolong Tea House, The Roasterie, and the always‑charming Regal Cat Café. As we wander between cafés, you’ll also get a glimpse into Kensington’s roots — from its beginnings as a community built for railway workers to the eclectic, arts‑driven district it is today. We’ll pass colourful murals, tucked‑away alley art, and small pieces of neighbourhood history that most people walk right past. You’ll enjoy signature lattes, loose‑leaf teas, espresso tastings, and small‑batch roasts while Stephen shares stories about Calgary’s evolving coffee culture — from early café beginnings to the independent roasters shaping it today. Between stops, you’ll explore vibrant streets, charming plazas, and hidden corners that make Kensington one of Calgary’s most beloved communities.
