Our Story
As roommates at the beginning of the pandemic, Stephen and Austen spent a lot of time together. One of their routines was to sit on the porch, have tea, and talk and share ideas.
Stephen was just finishing his business degree, and Austen had already graduated. Austen had been taking pictures and doing photoshoots for people as a side hustle during his time at university, and doing so, he found many little nooks and fun spots around the city (from restaurants, view-points, neat architecture, to hole-in-the-walls).
“One day, we thought about a cool idea: what if we could provide a service to tourists (and even locals) to experience Calgary the way THEY want to?”
What if people could tell us about themselves, what type of activities they enjoy, and with that information we could create an itinerary catered to their liking? What if we could provide transit from place to place, and at the same time offer professional photography so that people could get quality pictures together (instead of having to ask a stranger to take a picture and for it to turn out blurry with a finger smudge).”
We created SeeLocal with your best interest in mind and are thrilled to be sharing this immersive experience with and for you.
